Hey Jan

So no luck last time with the bloodvalues

I have know a few peeps who have gone into the special hospices when they have had cancer
most of them have gone more than once and have been able to continue with there treatments for a long time after
they help you get a good diet and know what you need to help boost your body for the treatments to come
There is one of these places near to where i live its only a few hundred metres from the local supermarket and they have both types of patients use the place. some are there as short term for building up their strength for more chemo and others its getting close to there time.
Hope you give it some serious thought and ask plenty of questions before deciding. Most of these places are there to help all of them in the uk are run by charities and they work hard to make sure that the patients are well looked after.

Keep your chin up
We are all thinking of you

Speak to you soon

Hi friends.
I was sent back from the hospital this time also. Low bloodvalues. Prolly caused by all chemos I have had this far.
I was also offered a chance for a short time stay at a special home for ppl that is in their last stage of life.
They have only 6 beds and offers recreation for dying ppl.
I have turned that offer down this time. I know I am dying but I don't feel I am at that point right now.
And how will I react living with 5 other dying ppl for 3 weeks ?
Do the cancer doctors know more than they tell me ?
Main criteria to get a stay at that place is that one have to have an illness that cannot be treated.
And also one have to be in the last stage of life.
What if I live much longer? Have I cheated them then ?
Or do the cancer doctors know more than they tell me ?
Lots of questions in my head right know. I feel I need to know more before I will accept that offer.
Live in peace and harmony. :-)
Your friend

Hey Jan

Sorry to hear you was sent home from your last chemo because of low white cell count
Hope that you have built up a few by the time you have to go back

How come you turned down a chance to be pampered at the cancer place
Thought a holiday would have done you good

I think you will last out this year Vikings are hard to kill

Look after yourself
Keep your chin up

Speak to you soon

I was sent back home again from the hospital. I had too few white bloodcells so they dared not give me chemo.
I was also offered a shortime stay at a place for ppl hit by cancer that can't be healed.
It is a place for ppl in their last satge of life.
I thanked no, as I dunno if I am going to die soon or not.
My guess is that I will die within 2008 but not sure.
Take care everybody.
Jan.

Hi friends.
I am going back to the hospital for more chemo this morning.
My old cat Nansen also died in my arms 2 nights ago.
It was a great loss. I got him when he was 7 weeks old, and this summer he would have been 16 years old.
It was him and me alone together for 15 years.
Take care my friends.

He must have been a good friend to you
Hope you dont feel to down now that he is gone
Most of us know what its like to lose a pet
especially one you have had for a long time

Esther and Inge are keeping us informed that the chemo is making you feel bad
Hope that it is not to difficult to face without Nansen there for support

Keep your chin up we are all thinking of you

Poem for Nansen

They will not go quietly,
the cats who've shared our lives.
In subtle ways they let us know
their spirit still survives.

Old habits still make us think
we hear a meow at the door.
Or step back when we drop
a tasty morsel on the floor.

Our feet still go around the place
the food dish used to be,
And, sometimes, coming home at night,
you miss him terribly.

And although time may bring new friends
and a new food dish to fill,
That one place in your heart
belongs to him . . and always will.

I am so sorry Jan, and very sad, he was such a good friend.

My dear Viking far flung friend,
So sorry to hear about Nansen and know how you must feel about him. When I lost my close friend Pedro not long after you and I met all those years ago (7) I consoled myself with his photo's and the good and great times we had shared together and out of those thoughts came tears of laughter as I remembered the antics he used to get up to and the mischief he created along the way and I always felt far better for having known his loyalty and companionship and still do to this day. Great friends are always missed but never leave us.
You are in CJ and my thoughts daily..........
Take care and remember.
Don't forget to smell the Roses.
Hugs from your downunder friends
Claudia and Richard.
